Ray Turned up the other day with the bits for the hatch on his SE5
We played for nearly an hour with the seal that GW had supplied but as they suggested, this was going to be a job for 18 hands, a wooden jig, loads of time and a little voodoo - so we gave up on the proper seal and adopted their own suggestion.

We assembled the frame with the glass and fitted the little home made brass and (in this case) dull chrome screws to keep the two halves of the frame together.

The next step was to chock the glass in the correct central position from the front and the back. We used bits of the proper seal for this and pushed them in until they would be hidden beneath the silicone then in went the goo. Standard black silicone sealant, anti-rot if you like, then finish it off with a wet finger and cleaning excess from the glass. I would say that the best way will be masking the edges, a wet finger, then remove the masking tape. This has yet to be tried and could be a little difficult due to rounded corners but stay tuned.
